CallStack Collective built the Unfollowify app as a subscription-based mobile app. This service is provided by CallStack Collective and is intended for use as-is. This page explains our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service. Unfollowify processes Instagram follower data entirely locally on your device. It does not require or store Instagram login credentials. We may collect limited diagnostic information as described below to improve app functionality. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

Information Collection and Use

Unfollowify does not collect or store any personally identifiable information. The app works by allowing users to manually upload a ZIP file generated through Instagram's official "Download Your Information" tool. This file is processed entirely on your device and never leaves it. We do not use tracking, advertising, or user profiling services. Limited diagnostic data may be collected as described below to improve app functionality.

How We Use the WebView

To help users retrieve their Instagram data export, Unfollowify provides an in-app guided browser experience using a WebView that loads Instagram.com. We inject JavaScript into the WebView solely to highlight relevant fields and guide the user through Instagram's data request steps. This injection does not read or access any sensitive content — it is purely for user assistance and operates entirely in the browser session you control. No login information, cookies, session data, or WebView activity is stored or collected by Unfollowify.

Log Data

We may capture basic logs (such as error messages) during app crashes or unexpected behavior for local debugging purposes. These logs are not transmitted to any server or third-party and do not contain personal or device-identifiable information.

Cookies

Unfollowify itself does not use cookies. However, when using the in-app WebView (e.g., to visit Instagram), the site may store cookies in accordance with their own policies. We do not access or use these cookies.

Third-Party Services

Unfollowify integrates with diagnostic services for error analysis and app improvement. We do not use advertising or user tracking services. All diagnostic data is limited to technical information as described above.

Diagnostic Data Collection

To improve app functionality and resolve import failures, Unfollowify may collect and transmit limited diagnostic information when data processing fails, including:

File structure and organization (folder names, file types, sizes)
Error messages and session identifiers
Device platform (e.g., iOS, Android) and iOS/Android
App version number

This data is transmitted to our secure servers for analysis and troubleshooting purposes only. No Instagram login credentials, usernames, full follower lists, photos, or account content are included. All diagnostic data is anonymized and used solely to identify and resolve technical issues affecting user experience.

Security

Unfollowify is designed to respect your privacy by processing your Instagram data entirely on your device. Except for limited diagnostic information as described above, no Instagram data or account credentials are shared externally. All diagnostic data transmission uses secure HTTPS connections and industry-standard encryption. However, please remember that no app or system is completely immune to security vulnerabilities.
